Johannesburg, 27 February 2020: Four massive DJs, including Above & Beyond and Oliver Heldens, are bringing us even more fresh new mixes. The sets are all exclusive to Deezer. What makes these different is that we’ve made sure all artists involved receive their fair share of revenues. This continues our commitment to make streaming fair.
Each artist in our new lineup has created an hour-long set. They’re available on Deezer right now and you’ll find a total of 10 exclusive mixes. You also see the full tracklist straight after the mix in a playlist format. There’s no issue with track IDs, so it’s easy to favourite the individual tunes you like from any set.
We’re proud to reveal that the latest DJ’s releasing their exclusive mixes with us are Oliver Heldens (Heldeep Records), Danny Howard (Nothing Else Matters), Above & Beyond (Anjunadeep) and Fred V (Hospital Records).
Here’s what the DJs had to say:
- Oliver
Heldens, who
said: “It was great to take a trip down memory lane to showcase the stand
out releases on Heldeep as well as my own output over the last 18 months
for this Deezer DJ Mix. I hope you all enjoy the mix as much as I did in
putting it together – cheers to another year of amazing music in
2020!”
- Above
& Beyond, who
said: “In our mix for Deezer, we’re winding back the clocks with an
assortment of tried and tested selections from our Anjunabeats label.
You’ll find the latest from label heroes like Grum, Genix, and Oliver
Smith plus our own long-awaited remix of New Order’s timeless ‘Blue
Monday’ Hope you enjoy the music.”
- Danny
Howard, who
said:“It was really humbling
putting together this mix for Deezer as it showcases the new sound of
Nothing Else Matters records with already released music, but also a
preview of what’s to come with a couple of cheeky exclusives! I’m so proud
of what we’ve done so far since our relaunch and thankful to the artists
who trust us with their music, but also can’t wait for you to hear what
we’ve got coming on the label this year, as well as some of my own music.
But for now, enjoy the mix.”
- Fred V – who said: “Really excited to have Deezer featuring this mix, it’s got a bunch of what I think are the best tracks to come out on Hospital as well as my new single ‘Away’”
“I’m thrilled to have four more highly respected DJs making mixes for us. Danny Howard is a BBC radio icon and Oliver Heldens secured 7th place in last year’s DJ Mag Top 100. This release is mostly centred around house music, but still offers a lot of diverse sounds like Fred V’s chill drum & bass mix.”added Robin Wilms, our Global Dance & Electronic Editor.
Our second batch of mixes follows sets from six huge artists, including Mark Knight and Modeselektor. In the last month, all DJs in the pilot experienced a boom in their daily streams. Will Saul smashed it with a 300% daily average stream increase. Michael Mayer’s and Makoto’s plays also grew by 150% and 100% respectively.
Our DJ Mixes are available exclusively in Deezer’s Electronic and Dance & EDM Channels from today. Check it out here.
